Recall multiplication facts for the 8 and 9 times tables and recognize which numbers are, and are not, their multiples.

Number Chomp is a board game for times-table facts. Each board has one rule, such as “Chomp the 8s” or “Chomp the facts that make 72.” Students move around the board and chomp the squares that fit.
Chomping a square that doesn’t fit costs nothing. Students see why it doesn’t belong, such as “38 falls between 8 × 4 and 8 × 5,” and keep going. An optional challenge mode adds wandering Gloops; nothing is ever lost.
